It was a slow start and hmmm…..well, the lettuce looks good.
Take a peek.
Ahhh, since I’m out-of-town, I don’t get to enjoy the fruits of my labor, which turn out to be spinach and lettuce so far. I toiled over these things since seedlings. I’m out-of-state helping a family member move, so my wonderful husband sends me updates of the garden.
It’s extremely frustrating when one is out-of-town and unable to check on the garden by touching and getting in the plants’ faces to closely examine for holes in the leaves. I have to trust Mr. Wonderful to take care of it for me. He’s the one eating the produce, so I’m sure he’ll take good care of it.
These were his texts: “Yes, spinach and lettuce are producing. Tomatoes are doing better now that it’s warmed up. Squash could be better. Beans are ok. I think it’s fine. It’ll be better next year when it’s a real garden.” 🙂
However, I think I might be more frustrated if I were home witnessing failure production that would not meet the expectations of the garden I grew in my head all winter long.
There is always next year. I’ll be home and we’ll plant up on the hill so they can be showered in sun light all day long.
Sigh. But then again, we still have another 2 months for things to grow… (I’m so impatient.)
P.S. Thanks for the pictures, honey!
How are your gardens growing? Give me some good news!
what a sweetheart your honey is!
