I didn’t even do a post about thanking all the soldiers and men and women who have sacrified for our country on Memorial Day. I was swimming in garden. And I am very thankful for the fact that I am able to do that.
How the day looked in pictures:

The mess I made on the rug while breaking plants left and right trying to even get them TO the garden.
We decided to go with a container garden but also plant in the flower bed. We didn’t have time to till and I’ll be back and forth to Kentucky helping mama move. Wanted to make it easy on a wonderful man who gets home late from work and doesn’t want to spend hours weeding.
He’s so beautiful. Here he is planting in the rain for me.
We did all this while the baby napped and before the threat of thunder rained on our parade. Get it? We rocked it!
The end result with the bird netting held down by random rocks. It’s not pretty but it will do. That is—if we rid the area of rabbits in a 5 mile radius.

G.I. Crockpot 
As you know, I live on a apartment here in Brasil and I discovered I can grow my own vegetables here! This year I had tomatoes, some green leaves and 4 carrots! Pretty good for an apartament, isn’t? Right now, I’m just waiting for the end of fall/summer to plant again! Unfortunatelly my laundry area doen’t receive much sun light this time of year!
